A daily-updated snapshot of a small subset of what Polaris Market measures: NeuCP and ECP issuance, money market funds, monetary policy and tokenised assets. Figures are aggregated and dated. Full detail, historical depth, exports and many other views and visualisations are available to Polaris Market users.
Polaris Market maintains a unified reference database of NeuCP issuers and tracks their outstandings using data published by the Banque de France.
Polaris Market tracks and analyses the main euro area money market funds (performance, risk, peer comparison) and every French-domiciled money market fund reported to the AMF (assets of short-term and standard funds, weight of each management group, ranking of management companies).
Below are simplified views of a few of the charts Polaris Market can generate daily or on the fly.
Scope: French-domiciled money market funds registered with the AMF (GECO database), UCITS and AIFs, excluding employee savings schemes and dedicated funds.
Reference date: the latest date on which at least 95% of funds have published their net asset value.
Assets: sum of the net assets of all share classes of each fund, in euros.
Corrections: any outlying data in the AMF database (a one-day zero, a spike or a plateau out of line with the fund's history) are replaced by the fund's last valid value. No assets in scope come from any source other than the AMF.
Changes: assets at the reference date minus assets at the base date. The base date is always a business day.
Updates: daily.
Short-term and standard funds · market assets — Assets of the funds in each regulatory category over a rolling twelve months, in € billion. Short-term funds exclude LVNAV funds (low-volatility net asset value funds, which the AMF also leaves out of its category statistics). The value shown at the end of the line is the reference-date value.
Top 20 management companies — Assets of each asset manager at the reference date and change over a rolling year, in € million. The manager is the one that runs the fund today, applied to its whole history: a fund transferred between two companies of the same group shows as a decrease at one and an increase at the other.
Breakdown by management group — Share of each group in total assets at the reference date, all categories combined. The twelve largest groups are named; the others are combined under "Others".
Polaris Market analyses every decision, press conference, account and speech by members of the ECB Governing Council, and scores their tone on a common scale, from dovish (−10 to 0) to hawkish (0 to +10).
Every public statement by an ECB official is read and analysed by a model that scores it from −10 (dovish) to +10 (hawkish), in absolute terms rather than relative to the current cycle. Only speeches that bear materially on monetary policy — inflation, rates, policy path, balance sheet — are included; ceremonial, supervisory and payments-related remarks are excluded.
Each point is the average of speeches over the preceding 90 days, weighted with a 60-day half-life.
The “Executive Board” series aggregates the six members of the Executive Board.
The “Voting Governing Council members” series aggregates the national central bank governors who actually hold a vote that month under the official rotation.
The axis runs from the lowest point of the two series minus 2 to the highest point plus 2: it follows the current level, so that the gap between the two series stays readable.
The corpus depends on what central banks publish: a speech with no published transcript does not appear in the curve.
